Museums

Ulaanbaatar has many fascinating museums where you can learn about Mongolia’s history and culture. The National Museum of Mongolia showcases ancient artifacts and traditional clothing, while the Bogd Khan Palace Museum displays treasures from Mongolia’s last king. For those interested in dinosaurs, the Central Museum of Mongolian Dinosaurs has incredible fossils from the Gobi Desert.

 

Theatre & Cinema

If you enjoy performances, the National Academic Drama Theatre offers plays and traditional Mongolian shows. The State Opera and Ballet Theatre hosts beautiful ballet and opera performances throughout the year. For movie lovers, Ulaanbaatar has several modern cinemas, such as Urgoo Cinema and IMAX, where you can watch the latest international and Mongolian films.

Shopping

There are plenty of places to shop in Ulaanbaatar, from large malls to bustling markets. The State Department Store is a great place to find clothes, electronics, and souvenirs. If you’re looking for traditional Mongolian crafts and cashmere products, Naran Tuul Market has a wide selection. Modern shopping centres like Shangri-La Mall and Hunnu Mall offer international brands, entertainment and restaurants.

Eating Out

Ulaanbaatar has a diverse food scene with options for everyone. You can find traditional Mongolian dishes like buuz (dumplings) and khorkhog (BBQ-style meat) at local restaurants. If you prefer international cuisine, places like Veranda serve Italian food, while The Bull offers delicious hot pot meals. Fast-food lovers can find KFC, Burger King, and Pizza Hut throughout the city.

Your campus Explore your centres

There are two campuses in different parts of the city, making it easy for students to find a convenient location. One campus is in Peace Tower on Peace Avenue, and the other is in Paradise Plaza on Hunnu Street. Both campuses have modern classrooms and meeting rooms, and they are surrounded by shops, malls, restaurants, and international schools. This means that students have everything they need nearby, including great places to eat and relax after class.
